To implement facility maintenance policies and procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Functions:

• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Follow material safety data sheets. (MSDS)
• Follow maintenance and repair schedules for all areas of the facility and grounds.
• Follow waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Follow proper procedures for care, use, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Identify and report to supervisor any equipment malfunction.
• Identify and report to supervisor areas in poor repair.
• Use maintenance e2uipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner.
• Attend in-service training programs for maintenance employees.
• Perform maintenance and repair procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times.
• Follow facility safety program.
• Observe infection control procedures related to the maintenance department.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
• Assume accountability for data contained in the employees' handbook.
• Perform other related duties as directed b his/her supervisor.
• Come to work in neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
• Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
• Perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Be able to pass an OSBI check.
• Be able to lift, stoop, bend, squat, etc. without restrictions.
• Be able to be on feet for extended periods of time.
• Be knowledgeable about basic construction, basic electric, basic plumbing.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Certification:

• None Required

Continuing Education:

• As required by state and facility, including seminars.
